Few things capture the spirit of a community quite like a farmers market, and in Havre de Grace, the Havre de Grace Farmers Market has become a beloved local tradition. For more than 30 years, the market has brought together local farmers, artisans, and residents for a vibrant weekly gathering that celebrates fresh food, local craftsmanship, and community connection.
Located on the 700 block of Pennington Avenue near City Hall, the market is just a short walk from downtown shops and the waterfront, making it the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning in Havre de Grace.
From May through December, the market comes alive every Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to noon, offering a wide selection of local goods. Visitors can find everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to farm-raised meats, eggs, flowers, plants, breads, cheeses, honey, coffee, baked treats, and artisan products created by local makers.
The market is more than just a place to shop—it’s a place where neighbors connect and where visitors can experience the charm of Havre de Grace. Families stroll between vendor tents, musicians often provide live entertainment, and shoppers enjoy discovering seasonal foods and handmade goods from farms and small businesses throughout Harford and Cecil counties.
In addition to the main season, the market also hosts a Winter Mini Market from January through April on the first and third Saturdays, allowing residents to continue supporting local producers year-round.
Farmers markets play an important role in strengthening local agriculture and small businesses by connecting farmers directly with the community. They also encourage healthier eating and greater appreciation for seasonal foods grown close to home.
Whether you're searching for fresh produce, unique artisan goods, or simply a pleasant way to start your weekend, the Havre de Grace Farmers Market offers a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the heart of our town.
🌱 Supporting local farmers and artisans is another way our community continues to grow and thrive.
