The HDG Extreme Boat Dockin’ & Riverfront Festival, is the major fundraising event for HDGinBloom. This year's event will be on October 3rd at the Lock House!
The HDG Extreme Boat Dockin’ & Riverfront Festival, is an annual festival that celebrates the city’s rich waterman’s heritage while raising funds for HDGinBloom, a committee under the Community Projects of Havre de Grace Inc., a registered 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to beautifying and maintaining the public gardens and parks of Historic Havre de Grace. Proceeds will also benefit the Lock House Museum and other local nonprofits that preserve and grow our community’s heritage.

The festival’s main event is the Extreme Boat Docking Competition, where captains showcase their skills in this thrilling waterman tradition. Additional activities include a Dinghy Poker Run, a Crab Pot Pulling Contest, family-friendly fun along the waterfront, and an evening concert to keep the celebration going.

To cap off the day, don’t miss the beloved Lighted Boat Parade, where decorated sailboats, powerboats, and workboats will cruise the Havre de Grace shoreline in a dazzling display of lights. Trophies and downtown gift cards will be awarded for Best Decorated Sailboat, Best Decorated Powerboat, Most Original, Best Use of Lights, and the Mayor’s Choice. Judging will be held at the Concord Point Park Fishing Pier.

This is sure to become the community event of the year — don’t miss your chance to celebrate Havre de Grace’s heritage, support local nonprofits, and enjoy a waterfront festival like no other!
